Birthdays have always been a big deal in our house. Together as a family, we go overboard with a cake, balloons, birthday parties, and gifts. We believe that birthdays are a day to make a person feel special on their day. It never occurred to us that a child would not have their birthday celebrated until our family attended a non-for profit event for less fortunate children. A young gentleman who went through the charity’s program stood up and spoke about the first time he had his birthday celebrated was when he was 13 years old, and the charity threw him a party. It moved both of us to tears, and we could not forget that night. So together, as mother and daughter, we decided to share our love for birthday celebrations and make it the mission of our non-profit to make sure as many children get to celebrate their birthdays as possible despite their living conditions. We hope you and your families will join us, too!

Thank you,
Mimi and Gretchen
